The Best Date Night in the Inland Empire (We Might Be a Little Biased)
Dinner reservations, a movie you’ve both already seen half of, home by ten. There’s nothing wrong with the classic date night — but there’s also nothing particularly memorable about it.
If you want a night you’ll actually talk about on the drive home, we have a suggestion. (And yes, we know we’re biased.)
Why Escape Rooms Work for Couples
Here’s the thing about escape rooms that people don’t expect: they reveal something about the person you’re with.
How does your partner react under pressure? Do they take charge or hang back? Do they spot details you miss, or bulldoze past the subtle stuff? Are they the type to ask for help or grind away at a puzzle for way too long?
You learn more about someone in 60 minutes inside one of our rooms than you do on six standard dinner dates. It’s shared pressure, shared victories, and occasionally — shared blame when someone definitely had the code all along and didn’t say anything.
You Don’t Need Experience
First-timers make up a huge portion of our customers. Our game masters walk every group through exactly what to expect before you enter, so you’re not thrown in cold. If you get stuck, hints are always available.
No escape room résumé required.
Pick Your Vibe
Not every couple wants the same kind of night. That’s why we have five rooms:
- Want something thrilling? Dead Air puts you inside a cursed horror show set from 1997. Someone in your group set you up — now figure out who before time runs out.
- Want something adventurous? Close Encounters sends you to an alien planet to find a missing crew. Sci-fi, mysterious, genuinely fun.
- Want something intense? Locked In has you rescuing a child from a panic room while home invaders close in. High stakes, fast pace.
After the Room
Fontana and the surrounding Inland Empire have no shortage of spots to grab a drink or a late bite after your session. The whole experience — check-in, the game itself, and the debrief — runs about 75 minutes, leaving you plenty of evening left.
Book a Weeknight, Skip the Weekend Rush
Our rooms are open seven days a week. Weeknight bookings tend to be quieter, and the energy in the building is a little different when it’s just your two-person team navigating the room on your own. Some of our best reviews come from couples who booked a Tuesday.
Journey Escape Rooms is located at 7950 Cherry Ave, Suite 102, Fontana, CA — easy to reach from Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Upland, and the rest of the Inland Empire.
Check availability and book your date night — it only takes a couple of minutes online.
